This is a traditional, hearty stew that is sweet and filling. It is quick and easy to prepare. Let it simmer for 2 hours so that the meat becomes tender. It will make your kitchen smell great!

Ingredients
- 1 Tbsp. Olive Oil
- 1 lb Stew Beef, cubed
- 1 cup water
- 6 medium carrots, peeled
- 1 sweet onion, chopped
- 1/4 cup ketchup
- 1 1/2 Tbsp. Worcestershire sauce
- 2 Tbsp. light brown sugar
- 1/2 tsp. paprika
- 1/2 tsp. cayenne pepper
- 1/2 tsp. mustard powder
- 1/2 tsp. garlic powder
- 16 oz egg noodles
Instructions
- Pour Olive Oil into large pot or dutch oven on medium heat then stew meat, brown both sides. Cut carrots into 1 inch sections. Add onions and carrots to pot.
- Once onions and carrots soften, add water, ketchup, brown sugar and Worcestershire sauce.
- Sprinkle paprika, cayenne pepper, mustard powder and garlic powder into stew. Mix.
- Simmer stew for 2 hours until tender.
- Boil water in separate pot for egg noodles. Cook egg noodles according to package.
- Serve stew over egg noodles.
