Shoulder Steak Recipe

This steak recipe is great comfort food and makes for a hearty filling meal. The steak is tender and falls apart easy. Pair with mashed potatoes and gravy.

Total time: 2 hours 25 minutes
Serves: 2


Shoulder Steak Ingredients
  • 1 lb. shoulder steak
  • 1 onion
  • 1 cup flour
  • salt and pepper to taste
  • 2 Tbsp. olive oil
Shoulder Steak Instructions
  1. Sauté sliced onion in olive oil until soft.
  2. Dredge steak in flour seasoned with salt and pepper.
  3. Sear steak on both sides.
  4. Put onion back in pan with steak, add 1/2 C water.
  5. Cover and simmer for 2 hrs.
  6. Serve with mashed potatoes and pour gravy over potatoes.
